Cellphilms- Giving our youth a voice

Our girls were lucky enough to learn about cellphilmes. They told the world what they wanted to know about the Dove program. This was the result.

What is a cellphilm? Used within reserach methodology, they are a way for individuals to express themselves and talking about issues that are important to them. I learned about cellphilms over the summer in my job, as I was preparing to present in Vancouver, I wanted the people that are in the conference to be able to see what I could see. Looking at the impact that dove has had on the girls.

I took a complete hands-off approach and for anyone who knows me that is quite difficult for me to do. Through cellphilms and the creation of the philms the youth are able to work on a variety of skills such as working in a group and how to express themselves getting across an idea of something that they care about.

The girls were able to take part in the whole process from the picking of the song as well as completing a storyboard to plan what they are doing. I asked the girls, What did they want the world to know about dove program, the following was the result.
